I hope we will get better quality videos soon. Judging from these videos it's everything I expected from a new bouzoukia performance.
The only thing I particularly liked is the new "Tha Mai Allios" choreography. I expected BIO performance to look more fascinating than this.Maybe some special effects or more dancing by Elena perhaps...
As for her duets with Giannis Parios and his son Haris, the audio quality is so poor so I can't judge them yet. The stage is quite nice btw! I expected it to be smaller.

Thanks a lot for all the videos guys!
I really like her duets with Giannis Parios. Somehow they compliment her voice a lot more than her duets with Remos, I think. Nevertheless she needs to grow a better relationship with him on stage because at times it felt like she looked at him like her teacher.

@Swedish: Yes, she sang BIO twice.

I will dare to say this but honestly I think Elena's laiko program (duets with Giannis Parios and his son) is better than her main act for the first time in one of her bouzoukia nightclub shows! affraid She's really good in those duets + her main act is really mediocre with the same old setlist (except one new song + one more coming up), no costume changes, nothing spectacular in terms of visuals and special effects, 2 new choreographies only, etc... so I'm surprised to say this and I'm also a bit speechless.

She was so great in duets indeed.I have to say that i expected to be so good in duets because i was sure that the duets would be ballads and not "tsiftetelia" or "zeimpekika" which suit to her

In the past I wasn't always impressed with her interpretations of some Greek ballads (such as those she sang with Remos), somehow they didn't always suit her. This time I am really impressed!

?? I don't get your problem Derek.
She danced - ok maybe she could do it more but still she is a singer not dancer - her voice was good, her duet was really nice, etc. Yeah she didn't change clothes during her own act but that's the least problem. lol!
She was fresh, full of energy and obviously enjoyed herself. What did you expect??
Oh ok the stage was a bit simple I agree.

Oh ok the stage was a bit simple I agree.

The problem is that I know what she is capable of doing on stage and instead of that I watch a completely average and mediocre show. Do you think if everyone was as excited as you are about the youtube videos from this show this thread wouldn't be full of comments showing enthusiasm and praise?
Instead of that, we see almost no comments/reviews at all because I'm sure that 90% of us expected to be blown away by something and instead we are left with a slightly bitter taste. Some prefer to express it by complaining and asking for more and some remain silent.

Remember her Eurovision performances, or even Mad Awards and Mad Walk? Why can't she do something like this on bouzoukia stages? Do you know that there are artists who go on tour worldwide and have to perform very demanding shows every night? I understand the budget problems but sometimes she simply sticks to the easier stuff so that she won't have to be stressed or work more, I've come to this conclusion since long ago. You can tell she doesn't give the best of her and a lot of the non-fans think the same (from various websites and blogs I've read).
If we the loyal fans keep praising her for mediocre shows like that, she'll feel satisfied because she thinks that what she does is enough and doesn't take more effort. So instead of showing so much satisfaction, maybe it's time to remember some of her past performances, and then I'm quite sure you'll realize what she's really capable of.

PS. I don't care much about the costume changes. It's just one thing I pointed out among all the rest. You said she was fresh and full of energy. Well I don't really see that to be honest. Yes she was energetic at some parts, but she was also standing at the some spot all the time and just singing her songs during other parts of the show. I wouldn't call this particularly fresh and energetic. I'm not saying she should start jumping around but she needs to "fill" the stage with her presence and transmit emotions that are there in the lyrics of each song. She was a lot better at this when Fokas Evangelinos was still her choreographer. Now she is very static for the most part and I don't like that.

well I don't know but I didn't see in any bouzukia clubs such performances like My number one Derek from those people I saw.
That place is not really for such shows I think. EVen the stages are not that big in those clubs. A concert is different.

TBH I didn't expect another Thalassa 2009 or Diogenis studio 2010/2011 from her. We knew there were pretty much no preparations at all apart from few rehearsals. The show will probably last for several weeks only so it wouldn't be worth making anything big. Even though I would be happier if she was recording new int. cd and working on her career abroad instead of this and DOI I'm actually glad to have new performance videos from Elena. It's actually better than nothing and as we all know Elena likes such performing. Plus she's so beautiful.

Tina I disagree with you because even for a short-lived show she needs to prepare something that will surprise the fans in a positive way. Her looks and her voice are gifts she has been given from nature! So what she needs to work on in order to deliver a great show is her stage presence, the setlist, the interpretation of the songs, etc..
Apparently all of these areas lack serious work from her which obviously shows to me she doesn't take this seriously enough and doesn't bother about keeping all the fans satisfied. Maybe her surroundings tell her that all she needs is to stand on a stage, sing her biggest hits and some duets, dance along to 2 songs accompanied by professional dancers and everything's perfect. The truth is, it's not. What proves this is that me being one of her biggest fans, I'm so dissatisfied by her performances because I think she can do so much better, therefore I currently feel let down. I don't like to feel this way because I love her but it's the truth. She needs to do something to surprise me again. It's like I've seen it all over and over again and I think you have, too.
Back in 2005 or in 2008 there was this "surprise" factor that was all over the air because we all were expecting to see "something new" in her shows or summer tours. We partly did see it (Fever, Summer Tours, Thalassa though none of these shows were perfect) and now it's been the same ever since. No significant change to her shows (the economic crisis in Greece doesn't help this either) so I'm only counting on a possible international break-through in order for this to change!

Derek you're are an objetive fan, because you support/love her always but you can see her faults. Anyway, we have to consider she's doing a lot these days and maybe she can't be ready enough for these perfomances. But I agree she has to do her best always. I also would like to see more energyc and powerful performances, a more complex show by her.

I get your point Derek and I agree with you. Long time ago I decided not to expect big things from Elena and accept her career and choices as they come because I was rather dissapointed quite a few times. And even if I am not satisfied with her performance in Pili Axiou regarding the quality I can still enjoy it.

Thanks for the recognition Ruben and I'm glad to see you agree with me!

But this is exactly what makes her rely on what she already knows and doesn't try harder. She thinks we do not have any higher expectations and accept her the way she is so she says "alright then, why bother with big shows again"?
I'm glad you can still enjoy her shows and your disappointment never made you leave the forum or drop your interest in her career, that shows you are a true fan as well, but I would also expect from you as well as from every other fan who cares about her but also for themselves (because her career choices also affect the way we are being entertained by her) to be a little bit more willing to contact people around her and let them know we demand better shows, we demand international promotion, we demand no more bouzoukia performances, etc...
Let's give it a try and maybe we can manage to change something. There is already a thread about it in the general discussion section (I noticed you just replied to it)
Spoiler:
and there I'm doing my best to let you all guys understand how it's crucial to compose some messages with all our complaints/suggestions to Elena and her team and forward it to them.
Maybe in 5 years from now we will be so sick and tired of the same bouzoukia performances therfore we will not want anymore of it but it will be too late to change anything as she will be 35 and she will have no more chances left for an international breakthrough.

I guess as Greek u're sick and tired of it, but imagine a foreign fan going to Greece for a week and he has a chance to see her 2x or 3x live. That's just amazing.

I haven't left because I know who's responsible for these wrong choices and I'm waiting for the moment when Elena sees it as well and will make the unnecessary changes.

the stage in Fever was much bigger Derek sorry.
I agree with Tina that for this show I don't think there would be necessary anything bigger plus she was really busy so she probably didn't have much time anyway.
And yes for a foreign fan to go and see her is just amazing so such a show - might be mediocre if you keep saying that - but good enough for a bouzukia club. As Tina said it will last for a few weeks only most probably unlike Thalassa or Diogenis was.

p.s. before comes any reaction..... yes there are things which should be changed of course.

I haven't left because I know who's responsible for these wrong choices and I'm waiting for the moment when Elena sees it as well and will make the unnecessary changes.

I guess it is but even you guys abroad are not completely detached from everything Elena-related today. There are always videos and pics from events so if something goes bad about Elena's career you must feel it more or less the same way her Greek fans do.

As for who the one who is responsible for all the wrong choices in my opinion it's nobody but her. If she doesn't want someone in her team she might as well fire him. As long as Toni was still her boyfriend there were rumours he wouldn't let Elena start an international career, now that he's completely gone from her life who is responsible? G.K.? I don't think so...

It's her life Derek.
We can only respect her choices btw.

But this time I really hope she will put herself more into the subject Very Happy

You say we can only respect her choices and it's her life yet you don't realize you and me are those that keep her in the business by buying her records and paying a ticket to watch her shows so we are supposed to show her our preferences and the things we dislike. No offense but I'm really tired of those one-sided opinions. When something's good I'll say it, when something stinks I'll point it out too.

I won't judge by this video. I will wait for a HQ recording, because the picture shaky and the audio quality isn't good.

I think this is a high quality recording Pano. Audio quality could be better though!
