New Feature: Contribution Points (Thanks/Positive Vote Button)

I'm currently tryin to install the thank you button - do you see one here???

[Only admins are allowed to see this link]

however, the point of this new point system is that people get different number of reputation points for helping posts.

if people click on the thank you or positive vote button in your post you get

5 points for
- videos (youtube links excluded)
- pictures posted in photo shootings

3 points for
- artworks (just one for artwork because I want to prevent that people make artworks with less effort just to gain points)
- general pictures
- live pictures
- other media
- lyrics (translations/posting the originals)
- interviews + translations, books, magazines (so if I post for example a paparicious magazine there you might click the thank you button for the mag and then also as soon as the people who wrote articles reply, you might click their thank you buttons too for their help with the magazine)

1 point for
- news

if we remark contributions posted in the wrong section to gather more points or any other misuse all your contribution points will be set to 0.

ONLY CLICK ON THE THANKS BUTTON IF PEOPLE POST NEWS OR MEDIA; AND NOT CAUSE THEY SUPPORTED YOUR OPINION (for example)!!!!

to me the thanks button appears, but not for myself and not for the topic starters...

apparently yes, but on forumotion someone suggested more functions for it and if people vote "yes" then there's a chance they will add them

that's why this button works only in media and news thread Razz

and I disabled negative feedback for thsi reason, hope that works.

Tina we were talking abnout two different FAQ threads, I about the one you passed me by mail and you about the one above.

but what sense makes the button if onyl the topic starter can see it???

well you canot give points in the general discussion area for example. you can click on + but no points will be added to any amount.

the system is made for "real" contributions like posting news or media or expressing a very helpful opinion or writing an essay about a subject, so these points should really be given only then.

I saw the buttons yesterday before Is aw this topic and I clicked ne of those and ended up gaving Panos a negative point. Sorry but I had no idea what was it for so I didn't meant to give you a negative point
