I have though of an idea. Right now there is not so many new members here that posts here, but I believe there is some people that like Helena but doesn't know about this forum. Maybe we will not get in any persons that post here each day, but maybe members that gets in and look now and then and post a little.

Well, lets go to the idea..
I have seen in many forums that you can fill in a text field where you write the name of the person that recommended you to the forum. And maybe it would be good to have a thing like this here to. So when a new member fill in this text field, that the member "Labros!" recommended him or her. And when this new member have post some messages on this forum (50?) the recommender gets some contribution points for this.

The hardest thing to do is probably to make it work to 100%. That you see that a person recommended the new member and that the new member have posted x number of messages. What do you think about this idea, good or bad?

And maybe other members then me have ideas for making more new members here, then why not tell your idea in this thread.

Yes, that was what I was worried about. Doing this manually can be hard. But it might be something anyhow.

That can be easily done by adding another field in the registration process, like: Came to this forum thanks to: [field]
And then some of the mods write the name of the person down, and tracks his post monthly. If the member has reached the posts needed then contribution points will be given to the member who recommended the forum.

But that will only work as a motive for people to recommend the forum to people and not being active Keep Paparizouing!
