Do you think Elena should compete in Melodifestivalen and Eurovision one day?
Do you think Elena should compete in Melodifestivalen one day?
Looks like the Swedes (expressen.se article) were right that Elena considered entering for Sweden this year since Elena recently admitted it herself that she was offered an amazing song to enter in Melodifestivalen but she turned the offer down because she had some doubts about it.However when asked if she would go to Eurovision for Sweden one day she didnt reject the possibility and felt it was wrong that she previously said she would never do it again.
What are your thoughts about the possibility of Elena competing in Melodifestivalen and later representing Sweden in Eurovision (if she wins MF which is not an easy thing tbh) ?

Well I don't see it would be any problem if she would do it but it's her decision. I trust her she knows what she is doing

I don't see how can I change it. Beside that is not 100% the same. Yes it's her responsibility and she knows what she is doing with HER life and career and I think it wouldn't be such a problem. Of course it's ok fine by me even if she won't go there.

Re: Do you think Elena should compete in Melodifestivalen one day?
She has achieved the top in the competition, so I'd prefer her not to go there again. I know she's won for Greece and she could try to do the same for Sweden but she already did a good job there (also a great position with Antique), so I voted No.

Re: Do you think Elena should compete in Melodifestivalen one day?
I scecify (great word Derek ):
If going to eurovision for sweden means working with a swedish music label which is able (and willingly) to promote her songs internationally while letting her have her own style, great songwriters and english lyrics and that she will also use her eurovision entry then to promote her international career my answer is yes.

unless she decides to start her int career as professionall as it needs to be done (without esc), this (with esc) would be the only other chance i see actually. because as it is right now (label, organization...) i don't see any chance, unless some radical changes will happen.
the word just sounded so funny reminded me of sceptical. like a mixture of being scaptical and specify

She should try an international carreer. Eurovision doesn't help on that.
She should also release that "amazing" song she was offrered

I'd only like to see her as a songwriter once she starts writing all her songs. I don't want her to write a bad song

Well I cant judge whether it's possible for her to start an international career with her current Greek label (Sony) because she never really tried it properly (other than in summer 2006 in Sweden where she had 2 massive hits;Mambo and Heroes so it looks like Swedes love her when she releases and promotes her stuff there) however Melodifestivalen could be a great help for her to become an established artist in Sweden and from there on she could have both her labels (Sony Greece and Bonnier) working towards making her a European superstar by promoting her in all possible ways.I wonder if that's quite unrealistic though..
LOL I know it was funny and I cant even edit the initial post now.

I want her to make an international career more than anything firstly, but if she happened to not succeed ( and hopefully this wont happen) then I think she should make the most of her carreer in Europe and so go to the euro again. I would love to see her on that stage again and this time really appreciate her..

that's exactly what I think, too.

well, regarding her esc-history it can only become worse. because she was already number 1, so... but still i think that even a third or 5th place at eurovision would still be a better chance to give her international attention than doing nothing.... besides i hope that if she would compete again for sweden she had less problems to use it for her international career. when she won in 2005 she obviously felt guilty because she grow up abroad and thought that Greek people would get angry if she tries to have an international career. she wanted to make sure to do this for greece only. actually i think that this is still her biggest problem... and somehow she doesn't seem to remark that going internationally is exactly what greek people want her to do

Re: Do you think Elena should compete in Melodifestivalen one day?
I simply can't understand why.. Greeks should be proud of her-they should support her. If she doesn't go international-then who will???she could actually really promote Greece as well as Greek music...Miss KA wrote:Derek wrote:Miss KA wrote:Derek wrote:Miss KA wrote:I scecify (great word Derek ):

Re: Do you think Elena should compete in Melodifestivalen one day?
i want her so badly in MF, but not at any costs! and i think it's too many NO-options...one extreme yes, and like four other explanations of the word no. i want her too! and i don't think it would go bad! she is well-known in europe! i have trust in her. but it's her opinion that matters, and she doesn't want to go....bad for me...maybe she could host the MF instead?

I voted for N 3.I would like her very much to participate again but as I think it will never happen I want her to concentrate on her international career.
Re: Do you think Elena should compete in Melodifestivalen one day?
No please, her time for eurovision past. She won in 2005 and this victory helped her in her career but participate again... I think isn't productive for her career.

Re: Do you think Elena should compete in Melodifestivalen one day?
I don't mind. It's her responsibility after all =)
If she wants to enter, she will.
It doesn't matter for me as long as she loves what she's doing I'm happy =)

If she couldn't be without ESC, then only for Greece.
Even though she told that she wants other to have this amazing experience. So, probably she will not go to ESC.
