Helena Paparizou - The International Support Team [Results Announced!]
So, I made a Facebook Group about promoting and supporting Helena abroad. And make people get to know her.
The group was created after an Idea of mine that accepted by some members, so if you also agree and want to help Helena, please join.
+ This thread is not created for discussing if Helena wants or can make an International Career. I beg moderators to delete any discussion like this immediately!
Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=139781492709979&v=wall
This group is not aiming to post regularly videos, just for posting them. We should try to do a drastic promotion for Her, with any means.
So don't post there videos every three minutes, because this will be just spaming and won't help the whole thing at all.
+Vote: Which songs do you think that must be included at the promo videos? Here: CLICK HERE
+Vote: In which countries you think that the promo should take place? Vote under this post: CLICK HERE

Re: Helena Paparizou - The International Support Team [Results Announced!]
First of all we should always use ELENA. That's her name and sets her apart from other int. stars. Second the objective is to gather as much fans as possible to show the page to Elena and let her see that people want her abroad.

in her international albums they use "Helena", so that's what we are going to use.
Re: Helena Paparizou - The International Support Team [Results Announced!]
that's more than a great start

Re: Helena Paparizou - The International Support Team [Results Announced!]
Every Ελενα in english is written Helena!
Re: Helena Paparizou - The International Support Team [Results Announced!]
(almost) every ancient Greek word which takes a (δασεία) on the first letter, in English takes an h before it.It's difficult to explain it in English but here are some examples:zore_riot wrote:I don't think that's correct, using that name but ok, I'll try to use it there
Ελλάδα-Hellas
Ιστορία-History
so
Έλενα- Helena
[I didn't put the (δασείες) 'coz I can't write ancient Greek in my computer]

And it's important to learn her as written in her CDszore_riot wrote:Panagiotis wrote:Every Ελενα in english is written Helena!Labros! wrote:(almost) every ancient Greek word which takes a (δασεία) on the first letter, in English takes an h before it.It's difficult to explain it in English but here are some examples:zore_riot wrote:I don't think that's correct, using that name but ok, I'll try to use it there

Her name in english is Helena.
Elena in english is pronounced Eléna so obviously is not her name.

it's a good idea. i'll join now. by the way i agree, we should use 'helena' in international stuff. it's already like that on every international album.

I'm not saying that the translation isn't, but you usually don't translate your name when you change country, right?
Btw I'm using Helena in everything I write there

It looks extremely odd to me that there are 90 members in 7 hours... We should use that...

i invited almost all my friends (even the band Mumiy Troll )
great start
btw, about name
not in all languages it is the same it depends on those 'special letters' or how to call them, for example in Latvian Έλενα is Eļena. really similar to my official name (Jeļena)
but we of course should use Helena, cause even her site is helenapaparizou.com and I won't tell you about the albums in the 100th time

You translate it when you can. Giorgos = George, Giannis = John but Anna is Anna because it's the same and Despina stays Despina because it can't be translated.
Of course there are exceptions like Michael Hadsyjohn who didn't change his name.

At least in my country it's not like that. Someone named Pedro is not Pierre in France, or Peter in England, it's Pedro.
I've written in the wall to invite the friends. We shouldn't keep sending messages 'cause people will leave it because of it.
And we should also add to the info of the group what she said and that the page is an example that her fans internally and externally want her to go international

It's subjective, a Pedro can be Peter if he wants, it doesn't go by country!
