An email to all the 1050 members?

Hello.

I can't say I am sure, but if we look at how much posts there is each a day here, and compare that with last year - I think the forum is more active today then it was 2011. Of course I have no statistics but I think it is more active this year. I am a pretty new member here and I have seen even newer members here. That is a good sign for the forums activity for example next year, that it will still be active as it is today.

But with that said, there is 1050 members on Paparizou Forum today and as all forums, not all of them or not even a majority will be active here or even visit the forum.

Now I assume, but of these 1050 members here maybe around 100 have been seen in this forum 2012, maybe made posts, maybe looked around the forum or just logged in and out. If my assumption is correct, that makes 950 members that haven't been here this year. And of these 950 members some maybe don't want to be here, some maybe have lost a little interest in Helena. But I am pretty sure that many of these 950 members still like (or love) Helena, but they have forgotten about the forum.

These people that have forgotten the forum maybe will come back if they just remember it. But how will they get to remember it? I suggest an email! In a earlier forum I used to have there was a function for Admins to send an PM (personal message) to all the members, and also emails to their... emails. So if this is available to do here in the forum, I suggest to do so!

The email could include a great subject which get people to click, and then in the message firstly explaining a little about the forum and a link to the forum. Then it could also include a little about Helenas latest work. ("All the time", "Poios", melodifestivalen, let's dance, and the further plans of summer tour.)

Many will read it and if we get one old member here back posting, it should be considered as a success, or?

Absolutely perfect idea. Thanks for bringing this up! Let's see what our admin and the rest of the mods think of this!

Actually this was a big wonder not only for me but also for you guys about what happened with <> members/ghosts if i could say that, this definitely will be a strong and effective idea if we make it true. if you enter into memberlist you will see many many people which have logged in since 2009 but they have post NO post!! this is unfair for us as fans/compiling forum

Good idea really!
For example on my site when there are news I always send a message which the registered members can receive and they can check it.
So I'm sure it would work.

Maybe we can make a little newspaper something like WHAT'S NEW IN PAPARICIOUS WORLD and send it monthly to all the e-mails?

+1 There used to be a sticky thread in the news section that served more or less the same purpose and I tried to update it on a weekly basis for a few months but I only got 1 or 2 cont. points for every update so I finally gave up.

That sounds like a good idea actually. First a text about the forum, which stays in each month and then some news and links to that news-thread or something.

Great idea! Yeah, and with a bit of HTML to make it more impressive looking, I think it would be great! They will definitely notice it.

Yeah, the problem with the contribution points, is one to be solved actually. Many people forget to do it, or don't even bother to think about it

A newsletter would be great, so the 1050 members get reminded of the forum once a month!

In how way we can invite here fans from facebook pages?? For example i wonder if there is anu fan from USA australia or Asia??

So I assume you want me to write it and send it. Ok, I can do that. Only what everything should be included?

I think only the latest news for example the mad awards etc.

Well, if you want I guess other people can help too, so you do not need to write everything. Maybe you doesn't need to write anything and only need to send it away.

I can stand in the corner and give all here ideas so I do not need to write.

Firstly that was just an example, I think TinaCZ will write it.

Probably it will take a while until the mail is send, they said there would be improvements of the forums before we began to think about sending a mail.

I think we should begin working with the message now. If you would post an email to 1000 members on this forum. What would you write in the mail, to get some people back?

i would try to persuade them that this period the forum is advanced (new layout) and here will discover all latest news, Photos and threads about Helena.Also, i will focus on the fact that a new album is coming soon and new songs which can make them show their interest.
Mention that its the only international forum about Helena which connects people around the world and if they are really fans they must not forget the forum. (they can give a try and post one-two posts per day if it's possible,otherwise what is the point of being here unactive?)

We should make a deadline for this. Lets say 31 March 2013. Then there should be a message written ready to be posted.

Simply moderators agreed to this project?? .,.. but i have a main wonder if most of the members dont log in the forum? how will they be informed by this e-mail directly???

Because the message will be sent to their emails, not as a PM on Paparizou Forum.

As it is apparently going to be me who will write the message I would really appreciate if u didn't make any deadlines for me.
