Most likely Turkish fans have just discovered the poll! I still remember how crazy some of the MANGA fans went over the MTV EMA 2009 best European act competition. But then again we went crazy over this competition too so I can't blame them for anything. The problem is they are always the majority and they have a huge diaspora all over Europe so their nominated artists in such contests (including Eurovision) always benefit from that which is unfair to all the smaller countries.

Btw the other day I made a little research in order to find out if this is a local poll or an international one and I figured out it's available in the following countries (I can't promise it's not available in more countries though):
