To compare, "Euphoria" by Loreen have been played 70 million times and Denmarks winning song this year have been played 7 million times. But as "My number one" is older and Spotify wasn't released when that song won, it is pretty unfair to compare, but still much interesting.

I think I will update this thread July, 6th again. To see if the "times played" have rised, especially on "Save me".

Is it a general ranking how many times a song was played by all Spotify users or just Swedish Spotify users?

I think it is all users, but I don't know. Do anyone here have Spotify and is from some other country then Sweden? That way we might be able to check.

Seems like the statistics is world wide then! But as "Save me" isn't released in your country so that song statistics isn't there.

With "Lotta på Liseberg"-promotion I hope "Save me" will be up to (something like) 120 000 - 150 000 listenings next month, 6th July. Do you think that seems realistic? smile

Wikipedia says that her top song on itunes was "A Brighter Day" in 2006. I dont remember which position

Her top song on iTunes? What is that supposed to mean? Best-selling perhaps? Anyway whichever editor submitted that info was obviously trolling.

Since Spotify has become the major way to consume legal music in Spain (well, streaming in general), I've decided to put here Elena's statistics.

MNO accumulates 1,2 million streams and is her most played track. But take a look to the surprising amount of 372,084 streams from Baby It's Over.

A 'normal' hit song is around 3 to 7 million streams in Spain these days (a few ones with more tan 10 M), so considering Elena is not popular nor an active artist here... I really think her numbers are more tan decent!

Remember that this statistics is worldwide. So these 6000 followers is in all different countries Spotify is available in. Also the streams is worldwide.

Arrrgg I didn't know that! I thougt it works like itunes since they publish their top50 charts of all the countries where Spotify is available.

So her numbers are very small... I think because Spotify is not released in Greece yet. Right?

I do also think her followers-number is very small. But (me guessing again) with good promotion like Nickelodeondagen and Pridefestivalen I think she will at least gain 100% more followers before the end of this year. I think it is more interesting to follow a person that is active in the country you are in, creating new songs for the market and so on...

I think it would be very interesting to compare this number on maybe Sunday. Too see how many more streams it have got after Nickelodeondagen and Stockholm Pride!

Todays statistics:
90 620 streams.

It seems like the performances didn't do much for the song.

Well, I guess it time for an update again. In around one month and 12 days "Save me" have been played 13 000 times. While "My number one" have been played 42 000 times.

Maybe there are different versions. Maybe you can't see some see some songs that isn't released in Greece and I can't see some song that isn't released in Sweden.

Nope. Spotify obviously ranks them differently according to number of plays in every country.
The current ranking for Helena's songs in the Greek version is:
1.My Number One
2. The Light in our Soul
3. Heroes
4. Mambo - Greek version
5. Gigolo
6. Save Me (This is an SOS)
7. Baby It's Over (Supermarkets radio mix)
8. Mambo - English version
9. Sou Stelno SOS (Save me - This is an SOS)
10. Baby It's Over

The number of plays for each song is the same as the number that you see on the Swedish version. "Sou stelno sos" currently has 9.109 plays.
But keep in mind that the ranking for Helena's songs was already there when spotify premiered in Greece. It didn't start from scratch. If that was the case the ranking would have been different for Greece and would probably include some of her recent Greek hits too. I think when spotify will become more popular in Greece, we will see changes.
