Greek certifications are very low! How they could change to these numbers in 2-3 years?? Ok, the piracy, but that numbers are shocking...OMG :shock:

Similar population countries with different certifications:

Sweden (9 millions) Gold 20,000 / Platinum 40,000

Portugal (10 millions) Gold 10,000 / Platinum 20,000

Greece (11 million) Gold 6,000 / Platinum 12,000 >> shame!

* Norway with only 4,5 million inhabitants: Gold 15,000 / Platinum 30,000

Portugal has 10,7 million of habitants and doesn't have single chart. That's why it is higher than Greece the album certifications I think.

I saw the new numbers on wiki, they are shocking indeed! Now even stupid artists can hope to get a gold certification evileye

According to the new numbers of sales, the album "Vrisko to logo na zo" has propably been 3 times platinum.

not necessarily. if big artists cant even sell enough, then "stupid artists" surely won't be able to either.

this does mean however that the next mazoo and the zoo album will go like 50x platinum lol

if an album is already platinum and they change the numbers and it continues to sell, do they then use the new number? Because vrisko has been released multiple times over the past year or so and will be once again, will one platinum disc be for the first 7500 and the others be for every additional 6000?!?!

As i personally know, this new system doesn't count Helena's release, due to the fact that the first release was in June 2008

The point is to appreciate a Gold and Platinum award in order to show the effort and the success of the artist. Lowering the certifications till these third-world numbers is a way to devalue the awards.

Now, if i see a greek singer achieving Gold I would say 'Ok, he/she's selling nothing'.

I know Elena is a top selling singer, but I talk in general... I hope if 30,000 persons bought Vrisko she will sell this amount in the future...
